Proof of date of entry

Hi All

I’m a British Citizen. My wife is non-EU. She entered the UK under Surinder Singh and now holds a Residence Card.

On the 5th anniversary of her date of entry, we want to apply for naturalisation for my wife.

The problem is that she entered from Ireland and as a result, when she landed in the UK, no one stamped her passport upon entry (as there was no passport control on arrival at the airport, presumably due to the Common Travel Area).

How can I prove my wife’s date of the entry in the UK, for te purpose of the naturalisation application?

Thanks in advance :)

Maybe a record of the ticket or email you received when you booked your ticket? Or, if there is no way to prove it, you could count from the day you sent off your application for the resident card. I guess that would prove she was in the UK?

I'm moving this to the UK naturalisation section where it might be better served.

PR will be achieved automatically on her fifth anniversary. She would be entitled to a permanent residence card on that date. Being British citizen's spouse she would not need to wait an extra year.

What proofs are you intending to use that she lived in the UK for the required period of time?

Did you apply for a residence card immediatly when you arrived?

If not Nino when did her name first appear on a bill council tax electric etc?

How long did it take for the card?

We applied for a RC card 5 months after she entered the UK.

We have kept the airline ticket confirmation for when she entered the UK and we also have (I think) the ticket stub that you stick in your passport which shows the date of the flight.

Presumably, in the absence of an entry stamp from the airport , the above docs should be OK?
