Help with application

Hello Everyone,

I am an Indian, living in the UK for over 8 years. I am eligible to apply for British Naturalization. But there is a confusion. I got married 2.5 years ago, my wife(Indian) came here as a dependent and lived for only couple of month. Then we were separated and she went back to India. We are not in any contact for over 2 yrs now. But not legally divorced yet.

In the application form I have problem with "Martial Status", there is no option for the "separated"(only "legally separated" is present). Should I choose "Single/never been married" and strike out "never been married" ? . Or shall I stick to "Married"?. I don't have marriage certificate either. Does this impact the application in any way?

What should I do? I need some help please.

Thanks so much.

If you are married, tick married. You can provide additional information on the relevant page of the form if you want to, but it won't have any impact on your application.
