urgent help please

Hi,
I am going to apply for Naturalisation on Tuesday.
On the form we have to mention the mother's date of birth. I just know the year of birth not the full date of birth and she has expired in 2004.
What to fill in the form for date of birth? Does just fill the year and mention it to Home Office (In this case I am worried may be they require some additional documents!!!)
OR
fill any date with the year?
