Dear All,

I am planning to apply for British citizenship on 1st August 2014 through NCS. However, I also plan to travel outside UK on 10th Sept 2014 for 10 days. My questions are:

1- Is it ok for me to travel while my application is being processed?

2- If I apply through the NCS, will they take my biometric card? I need this card to travel?

3- I will travel in about 1 month after applying through NCS. During this month, shall I expect any news regarding my application?

May you advice on this issue please.

Thank you in advance.

You will receive a letter of approval with a request to book your ceremony within 2 weeks from date of letter. You will then have 90 days to attend the ceremony, after which the certificate will be returned to UKBA. Best to have someone checking your mail while you are away.

May you advice on this issue please.
