Naturalisation after getting PR

Hi

I'm EU citizen who got the Blue Card in December 2008. In December 2013 I applied for PR and got it in February 2014.

My question is, can I apply in December 2014 for Naturalisation or in February 2015? My logic tells me that the time should continue to count even if I made application for PR. Also I'm not required to apply for PR as I gain it automatically by law after 5 years of living and exercising my treaty rights.

Can someone help me to clarify it please?

Correct. So when did you actually start exercising Treaty Rights in the UK?

That being the case, you automatically acquired PR status sometime in December 2013. What you received in February 2014 was merely confirmation of that fact.
