I am a GP residing in Uk since 10 yrs. My son(6 yrs old) and I have 5 yrs Tier1 and 1 year ILR. Son born in India and has no contact with father for 5 years.Father in Indi since 2008. Divorce proceedings pending in court since 2009 as father not consented for divorce and unlikely to consent for son's naturalisation. Applied for ILR with supporting letter from school and GP and was successful.
Do I apply under section 3(1). One parent application only.
What are the chances of it being successful?
Will that affect my application if his gets rejected?
What supporting documents should I provide to help my case?
Will appreciate any adv/ comments as I am getting very stressed with the process

Stipulate clearly on the form that the Father has abandoned the child and there has been no contact for 5 years and there ought not to be a problem. Put a letter in from the child's teacher that they've never seen the Father, the child has fully integrated into UK life and Community and that it would be in the child's best interest to be registered British.
