OCI for Indian origin child with British passport

Hi,
I am planning to get the OCI card for my child who has got British passport as his first ever passport. I understand one of the document required is Indian passport surrender certificate which my child will not get as he never had indian passport.
In such a case what do I have to provide as a supporting document.
Please note - I will be applying for OCI card and wanted to get my child's OCI done at the same time.
If someone had a similar situation, I will be grateful if you can share the information regarding the supporting documents please.
