Dear All,

I got my ILR in October 2013, Currently staying Out of UK since April and planning to stay until October 2014, I am working as a Contractor in Oman, However I am being paid in UK Business account and I am receiving Salary in my UK account, I got my Payslip and other documents.

I won't be Completely out of UK until October 2014, However my Stay would be 3 weeks in Oman and 1 Week in UK until October 2014. After Counting all out of UK days, I got 128 days in total on Business Trip. I would need to stay out of UK.

My Question.

1) Would my stay 128 days Outside UK effect my Continuity period for Applying Naturalisation for British Citizen ?
2) I am allowed to stay more than 90 days Outside UK stating Business Trip showcasing Employment Proof ?
3) I am going to breach UKBA Condition "spent no more than 90 days outside the UK in the last 12 months"

Thanks in advance

Kind Regards

I stayed 120 days out of UK in the final year and I had to apply for discretion.
Are you working for UK based company?

You should be all right. As I said I was out for 120 days due to business and leisure and I received my approval within 8 weeks. Anything over 100 days and you are obliged to apply for discretion and it would be very helpful if you could have demonstrate links with the UK through presence of family, and established home and a substantial part of your estate.

This is what I wrote on page 15. Hope it helps:

"I wish to state that I have made the UK my home together with my family - my wife and 16 year old son who are both British citizens and live in the United Kingdom. With my family, I live in a rented house which is in my name. In addition, I have a large part of my estate in the United Kingdom. In the past few months, due to the nature of my work, I had to spend several weeks working abroad and therefore I am requesting for discretion to be applied with regard to the requirement to have not been absent from the country for more than 90 days in the final year."

The thread is over four years old. The OP has not been on since his last post.
