A British citizen otherwise than by descent, can automatically pass on British citizenship to a child born outside the UK. You can be a British Citizen otherwise than by descent by:

Birth;
Registration;
Naturalisation;
Adoption.

Hello There,
My wife is British citizen by birth (born in London) and I am holding Indian Passport.
Query:
1)Will our child be eligible to apply for British passport?
2)If yes, where can I find the link for British passport application form and associated documents?
2.1) Should we send the completed application to HMPO, Liverpool or go through VFS, India?
3)Our child was born through IVF treatment in India (my egg and husband’s semen). Will this be a matter of concern?
4) Can we submit all the medical records, photos, scan report etc as supporting document?
5)Provide Proof : your child has a claim to British nationality & that you have the parental responsibility to apply for a passport on their behalf( info obtained from http://www.gov.uk); What is that I need to submit as claim and parental responsibility document.

Thanks in advance,
Regards kesausin
