Apply passport for children before parent's passport

Hello,
I recently reveived approval of British Citizenship with my children and still waiting for my Oath ceremoney. My children have already received certificate as they don't have to attend Oath ceremoney.
I want to apply British passport for my children before getting my certificate. Can I do this? Is there any requirement that children should apply passport with parents or after parents?

Are you sure? I just called passport helpline and lady said you need to send your certificate as well or apply as family application. Bit confused. Any idea??

Both of my children have their British passports, one just a month ago. Neither I or my wife are British Citizens yet (our applications are still waiting to be decided).

Were they born in UK or abroad? It seems they are UK born as you don't have citizenship and they got passport. In my case children got citizenship through Naturalisation process.

Yes you can apply as your children's Passport is not based on your citizenship it's based on them being registered as British!
