Dear All,

I have been in UK since i was 9, but i never applied for my naturalisation and now I want to apply

I have always had "good character"
(studied in UK from primary school went to university, working for a year full time and paid tax in full)

but December 2013, something happened that I was given a Police Caution, (no fines, no criminal conviction, no criminal record, have not been to court at all)

now I want to apply for my naturalisation,

the form does ask the question that if I was given a simple or conditional Police caution

if i say yes and send off the form, what will happen? would they consider what happened and than decide or would they reject immediately after seeing I have a police caution???

only 6 month has passed from the time of my police caution.

Can someone please help me,

I really want to apply for my naturalisation and get my british passport,

anyway that i can pass this and be accepted?

You'll have to wait 3 years from the date the caution was given I'm afraid.

After 3 years it depends what was the reason caution was given for. :(

I called home office,
they asked me to send my form with a covering letter, and it will depend to the case worker,

or this is just a way for them to get money from people and reject the application?
:?: :?: :?:

I wouldn't listen to what they say on the phone. You'll face almost certain refusal.

You were given an exceptional grant which is permissible when 2 years has lapsed.

True
I think its better if i leave it for now, and apply when the 1st year has passed

I would wait until at least 2 years have passed, not 1 year.

Hi niloufar, Do you get your application approval ?

I have the same issue , same like you, a ploic cation for being drunk. No court, no fine, no criminal convition.

From September 2013, It was the first caution, i went to Town Hall checking they said my applicatin will be refused unless i don't wait for 3 years. And CAB advisor not sure about it too.

Pls if you have any information reply me

Thank you.
