A few questions on Referee's and name change

Hi All,

I have a few questions. I'm applying for naturalisation, I'm married to a BC.

1. The referee have been provided from a secretary from the local Health Centre and from a family friend who is a cleaner at local school over 25 in age. Both have British passports. Is this OK?

2. One of the referee has written in lowercase. The other referee and the whole form is in uppercase. Will this be ok also?

3. Also I plan to change my name and use my husbands name as madien. I have only put my husbands name in section 1.6 for all other name elements (section 1.5, 5 (referee), payment, photo and 6 - declaration) I have used my current name. The reason for this is today I'm known by my madien name to referees, banks etc. I'm I correct in doing this?

Pls can you advise asap since I have booked the NCS which is only few days away

thanks.

I am not exactly sure about q3 but I suggest you type deed poll in search box as this topic has been covered quite a lot.

'Milan69 - Name was not changed by deed poll, OP got married.

If you submit your marriage certificate to show your name change after marriage, it should be fine. You can also write an explanation on the 'additional information' page. When did you get married??

So you will fill in as follows

1.5 - your married (husbands) surname
1.6 - your first name and any middle names you have
1.7 - your maiden/birth surname
