Hi Everyone,
I applied for my naturalisation on 2nd December 2013 through NCS. Fee deducted 21st Jan 2014 (acknowledgement letter dated 21 Jan 2014). Still not heard anything from Home Office. Wondering if I should give them a call to check the status. What should be my reply if they simply say that its under process. Is there anything else that can be done apart from waiting?
Is 0300 123 2241 the number to call?

I was on Tier 1 general before I got ILR on 19th Novemeber 2012. So my application is based on 5 years + 1 year ILR.

Looks like simple case. Chase it tomorrow by calling HO as well with your MP. Thx

Thank you to the forum members for suggesting to contact MP.
My MP contacted HO on the 17/06/2014 and his office staff followed up HO on 08/07/2014. Today I got the approval letter. Its disappointing that I didn't hear anything for 7 months and got the letter soon after contacting MP.

May be the experts have a different view but I didn't write any letter. I just emailed MP providing as much info as I could simply stating that its been over six month and explainingt how delay is effecting me. Below is what i provided which is thought was more then enough.

Date of Birth:
Address:
Nationality:
Application Type:
No of applicant:
Date of application: xx/xx/xxxx through Nationality Checking Service (XXXXX City Council)
Acknowledgment Letter: xx/xx/xxxx
