citizenship form

Apologies f posted in the wrong forum. I am seperated from my husband and he is going to apply for citizenship based on 5 years residency but on the form there is no where to put that he is applying based on residency alone as the choices are based on marriage or residency so the question when it says the details of your partner what does he put as he is applying in his own right based on 5 years residency and not marriage? So does he still have to put my details down? as that seems a bit silly to do that. Yes we are still legally married but we are separated, and have been for sometime, so therefore he is not my partner. VERY CONFUSING! Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

If he is still married he should state that or separated if that is the case. The form is for both categories of application.

Thank you. Yes we are still married but like i said separated so does he still have to state my details where it says partners details? (he is not my partner but still legally married to me) as you rightly pointed out the form is for both 5 years residency or marriage but he is applying in his own right for the 5 year residency but there is no where on the form to state that he is still legally married but not legally separated and he doesn't want to have to put down my details if he doesn't need to.

If he previous visa was as your dependent and his subsequent ILR on Set(M) based on your previous posts, the HO will have the detail that he is married. It will not make any difference if he includes his spouse details on the form as he is still married.
He can't for example state he is single when he is not, as the form is signed as acknowledgement of providing true and accurate information.
