If you failed to declare a conviction then it will be considered deception and you will be banned for 10 years and it should be banned from 10 years since the decision date not the conviction date that would be 2024 not 2020. However, if the conviction was not a general grounds for refusal for the purpose of the Good Character requirement (it doesn't matter if it's spent or not). I suggest asking for a review (£80) on form NR (click) stating:

1. You made an honest mistake and did not consider the conviction relevant as it was spent under the 1974 Act and
2. As the conviction would not be a general grounds for refusal as per Chapter 18 Annex D you wish for them to reconsider their decision and grant citizenship otherwise you will be forced to proceed to Judicial Review in light of Thamby, R (on the application of) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2011] EWHC 1763.
