Asking HO to delete biometric data after becoming a citizen

I have nothing to hide from Big Brother but I do not like him keeping too much information about me so I believe it worth requesting biometric data collected by HO while I was on visas to be removed from their system(s). I did a bit of googling and found
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2008 ... 048_en.pdf (see paragraph 11 on page 3) and https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... .0_EXT.pdf (on page 98 destruction of biometric information is described). It looks like it is possible to request HO to destroy biometric information they keep on becoming a British citizen. Did anyone try that? Did it work?
And will such request invalidate ILR BRP?

I've done this for someone before. I've posted details of what to write if you search the forum. It's basically when you've naturalised as British at which point your ILR simply ceases to exist anyway.
