Irish married to UK, on Carer's Allowance

I am an Irish citizen married to a British citizen husband. We moved back to the UK in 2005 (previous 2 years in Germany to help/care for my parents). My husband moved first to find us a flat, I followed on 23 July 2005. From then until June 2010 we were either self-supporting (i.e. living off savings), self-employed (my husband) or employed (me) or for several months late 2005/early 2006 claiming JSA, rent allowance and council tax allowance. My husband has suffered from health problems (epilepsy and at times very severe mental health issues) for most of his life and could never entirely work full-time but carried the risk himself by being self-employed and taking time off as required. However, in autumn 2009 his health deteriorated and he hasn't been able to work since then. We knew little about benefits other than JSA at the time and it also wasn't entirely clear whether my husband might improve enough to resume some sort of work. In June 2010 we got help from Citizen's Advice Bureau with claiming DLA for my husband (he won't be re-assessed for PIP before Oct 2015), which was followed by Carer's Allowance, Income Support, Council Tax Benefit and help with mortgage interest (these last all in my name as the main claimer). I still worked a few hours a week until April 2012 but then had stress related health issues (chronic pain) myself and had to stop. This situation as described still continues and is unlikely to change in the near future.
Questions regarding naturalisation as a British citizen:
1) I understand that as an Irish citizen, I am regarded as having 'settled' status from the day I arrived here (i.e. 23/07/2005). Would I enter that date in Form AN question 1.3 which asks for the date that ILR was attained? Or do I leave that blank?
2) Does that 'settled' status also nullify the need to answer questions 2.4-2.6 regarding EEA nationals exercising EC Treaty rights?
3) This still leaves question 3.1 regarding occupation - do I put 'Carer for my husband' and then fill in the page for further information with our circumstances? Or, in your opinion, do these circumstances pretty much preclude any acceptance of my application for naturalisation?
Many thanks for your help.
