Hello everybody! I have a quick question please:
I am married to a British Citizen and we have got 2 kids. I know that 'You have to have been a resident in UK for the last 3 years if you are applying on basis of being married to British Citizen'. Does that count start from the time I got married on the 13/9/2011 or does it count from the first time i got my spouse visa on 17/11/2011 or does it count from the time I first entered the UK after been granted the spouse visa on 22/1/2012?
Thanks in advance for your help

From the date you first entered the UK on your spouse visa.

Any residence in the UK count so if you have been on a different visa before (and went abroad to get the spouse visa), that time can be counted too.

I was on academic visa before I got married on 13/9/2011. I entered UK with this academic visa on 23/8/2011. Does that count? or do I have to wait till 22/1/2015 to be eligible to apply for naturlisation (22/1/2012 the first time I entered UK after been granted the Spouse Visa on 17/11/2011 in Aman, Jordan)
Thanks

Yes the academic visa can count so far as absences are within the threshold.
