I have applied for Naturalization and awaiting for approval. I understand that person need to attend Ceremony in 3 months time to be a british citizen. and Then surrender your Indian passport and either apply for Working Visa/visitor visa or for OCI to go to India.

My first question is - If i do not attend ceremony in 3 months time then what happens? Do I need to apply for Naturalization again. Am I eligible to apply. Can you send me links where these things are explained.

Second question is - After attending British Citizen ceremony (not applied for british passport) If I go to India on Indian Passport and ILR visa and then do not return to UK at all for some reason and My Indian passport expires -Then am I still Indian citizen or british citizen? Can I renew my Indian passport in India?

Where can I find answer for these queries?

If you don't attend the ceremony, you will not become British (and stay Indian). If in future you wish, you can apply again (if meet the standard requirements and paying the fee).

If you attend the ceremony you become British and stop being Indian. India allows you to travel for 3 months without attracting penalty. I have no idea how India would treat you in this case, but I guess you will be illegal in India.
