Dear all

I am planning to apply for my first adult british passport abroad after attending the ceremony. I understand that this process may take 10 weeks. I now need to travel back to the UK for a short meeting during the 10 week period. Can i still use my ILR to enter the country?

Thanks.

you need to submit your current passport for first BP application, don't you?

Not if you apply outside the UK according to the passport office

You'll need a valid travel document to travel internationally, the ILR card just indicates UK residency status.
