Dear Sir,

I am very new to this forum and was here on friends advise.

I personally thank you all for the pains taking here to solve the problems of the members and for your valuable suggestions and advise.

We couple had our ILR granted last year 2013 in the month of 17th April and 13 July. We were on holiday to home town on 19th August, 2013 and due to some family circumstances had to stay for a longer period. Later we returned on 21st January, 2014.

Now that, our question is when can we submit our application for naturalization. We are aware that can apply for naturalization after the completion on year from the date of our ILR's. Now our absences are more than 90 days for that period we just waited for this long.

Can we calculate our time backwards (like 21st January, 2014 to 21st January, 2015) taking the 90 days absence in it and can apply on 22nd October, 2014. We know it sounds some technical and request the Guru's to please help us in this situation that whats in our best interest on when to apply for our Naturalization's.

I once again entreat and thank you all.

Regads,

GRKumar

Yes.

If you apply in October 2014 - the 1 year for 90 days would be October 2013-October 2014 which includes your 90 days of absence (until January 2014).

Make sure you have physically been in the UK in October 2009 (5 years ago on the day the application is received by the HO). This requirement is the main reason for refusals.
