Ceremony - Only 1 letter (Approval) received

Hi,
I have booked my ceremony but I only received 1 letter from home office stating that application is approved.
It's been 3 weeks and no invitation letter.
I am hoping on the day of ceremony, just approval letter will suffice?
Thanks

Does your letter say which council to contact and a reference number etc?
There are two forms that are sent : some people get an approval letter and then an invitation letter later and other people get an approval and invitation letter combined in one.

the letter heading states "Citizenship invitation application for British citizenship by *my name*"
it does tell to contact my council within 21 days, which I have done.
Hope this helps.

So you have received the combined approval & invitation letter. No need for another letter. Just enjoy your ceremony, don't forget to take your passport with you for ID purposes.

I received an identically worded letter but my council also sent their own invitation letter after I booked. They want to see both invitations at the ceremony together with a photo ID. I suggest you call up your council and tell them what's happened, they are the only ones who can help you. It may be there is no council invitation but it could also be lost in the post.
