Name change: Old name in new passport?

Hi all,
I`m preparing my Naturalization and my name change deed poll. But I just heard the concerning rumor that even with a changed name, the old name still appear somewhere in the remark section of a new British passport.
Does anyone know if thats correct or even normal?
