Referee for Citizenship

Hello

I would be grateful to have some thought on the following.

As per the UKBA guidelines, I would need a referee from the approved occupation list.

I did my MSc from the University of Sheffield in 2007 and I met a dentist who studied Sheffield and her husband was a practising dentist and they both now have a practice in Leeds.
I am based in Scotland. Can they act as a referee although we are based in different citites now? They know me from 2006 and we catch up often but not regularly due to the distance or could that be an issue?

Please let me know if this is fine or I have to look for other options.

Many Thanks

Kaushik

They can be your referees. Distance is not relevant.

I presume you'll choose only one of them as referee.

They both can't sign your application as referees should not be related to each other.
