Hi,

I had my ILR several years back and that time there was no exam for Perm Resident. Now i think about applying for the British Citizenship.

Do i have to take English exam ESOL level 3 and Life in the uk test both. When did they introduce ESOL Level 3.

Thanks for your help.

I believe they Changed it in October 2013. I'm not completetely sure about it. You will need to pass both the life in the UK test and English to apply for citizenship, unless you are under 18 and one of your parents is a British Citizen.

Read about Life in the UK Test - https://www.gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test/overview
Do some practice tests - https://lifeintheuktests.co.uk/life-in-the-uk-test-1/
Read about English Tests - https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... uage-tests

Good luck with your application.
