Best BC path for EU spouse of new British Citizen?

I am a French national. My husband is an American citizen. We have been in the UK for over 6 years.
Later this year he will be applying for his BC. He has had PR for over a year based on EEA4.

I never got my EEA3 (yes, I prob. should have done it with my husband's EEA4) but am now interested in applying for BC myself. As I understand it, my options are:

1) Get an EEA3 and then later apply for BC. (Or apply for BC directly but this is still the same option to me)
2) After my husband gets BC, take the British spouse path.

It seems like 1) is most efficient anyways. Will I be able to follow path 1) after my husband becomes a BC or will I be required to follow path 2)?? In other words, should I hurry up and do things now or can I wait?

Thank you for your help.

If your husband has been granted EEA4, then I think it's already implicitely accepted that you had attained PR too. Else, he would have failed.

So, I think that you may apply together, if you both satisfy all the standard requirements.

Thanks.

I assume that for my BC application I can't just show them my husband's PR? I have to resubmit all the documentation that shows I have been exercising treaty rights for 6 years?

I suppose that may be safest. Try using the NCS, so you get to keep your documents, as they will copy them.
