Hello everyone,

I wonder if the policy is still being enforced by the HO that
that you shouldn't leave the country within the short period after your application has been submitted?

I was told so in the email message from the NCS officer. However, I heard it somewhere there is no longer such a requirement from the HO?

Once you apply for naturalisation you can travel without restrictions.

I ask the NCS to hold onto my application for a couple of days instead of sending it out straighaway so that I could meet the requirement to be physically present 5 years before the date the HO receives my application. (please see my other post)

The NCS lady said then I shouldn't leave the country before she sends out my application, 'cos the travel experiences on my form would be no longer valid and thus need to be updated and my passport re-photocopied.

I think the lady from NCS might be right since once you apply for naturalisation you are free to travel and by holding your application you officially have not applied yet and you are obliged to list all the days of your travel up to the point of application.
