Hello,

I am now filling the AN form, the section where I need to fill all my absences from the UK, detailing countries and dates. My question is as follows: say I went abroad and visited several countries. I started and ended my journey in the same country abroad. Do I need to record this as one trip, or several trips? Does it make any difference if the countries I went to are members of the EU or not? Two specific cases I have are:

Case1
D1: Leave UK for France (Lion) via Eurotunnel. On the same day drive from France to Belgium.
D2: Stay in Belgium
D3: Drive back to Lion and take the train back to the UK from there. Arrive in the UK

Case2
D1: Fly from the UK to Croatia (Dubrovnik). Drive from Croatia to Montenegro
D2 - D6: stay in Montenegro
D7: Drive back from Montenegro to Croatia
D8 - D15: Stay in Croatia
D16: Fly back form Croatia (Split) to the UK

Thanks in advance

It might matter as you had your passport stamped when entering Montenegro from Croatia and vice verse so I would list both of those countries.

One trip. Its the absence from the UK the HO is interested in. Not your itinerary.

also to add: if space in the application form is an issue, you can mention the official ISO country codes to list multiple countries

check your passport, and mention the countries which has been stamped.

i made the same trip with my eu passport but didn't get any stamp from the countries however i put the date i was away from the uk as a total on one country. you think that should be ok or do i need to declare all in one column or whatsoever.
