Dear Members,
I applied for my naturalisation through manchester NCS.
My indian passport expired on 9.12.14 but I did not renew it as I was planning to
apply for BC now. The lady at the NCS questioned me about this and asked for
some document to prove that I was in UK after my passport expiry.
I did not have any documents and I wanted to proceed with my application as it is.
(because I thought if my passport expired on the 9th dec 2014, How can I travel anywhere abroad)

Does this look like a major problem which will affect my application?
any inputs will be highly appreciated.

If you are able to prove should you be asked for in terms of employer letter, P60, bank statements, ets..you have nothing to worry about.
They just want to be sure if you meet residency requirements.

But I did not have any of these documents to submit. so, I asked her to go ahead and submit the
application. Do you think HO will ask me for more documents if they want to see or will they
reject my application outright?

If they are not satisfied, the Home Office will write to you and give you one chance to satisfy them that you meet the requirements.
