Errors on an already applied for British passport

Hi all,
Hope you can help us.
My husband and me( indian passport holders) had applied for our first British passport online. Couple of weeks after we got a letter from the HMPO that the forms were incorrectly filled and we had to fill out the form enclosed. We then submitted that.
I checked our status online and it asked to contact them. I called them yesterday and they've asked to send our original indian passports, letter stating our address change and the tenancy agreement as a proof. It's only dawned on me last night that our form may be incorrect cause in sec 3 A, where they about a previous passport, we've said 'no' cause we misunderstood this to be a previous British /EU passport. Having spent the night reading the guidance form I'm even more confused. We've given them details about our parents. Did we need to add our grandparents details in sec 8?
Would they refuse our citizenship(we've five the oath taking ceremony)? How can this be corrected?
Advice would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks
