Changed address request sent to HO in Aug.
Update: 17th Sep 2015

HO asked for Original Certificates for qualification + NEW self assessment summary
Sent them Both.
Somehow was not able to see Tier 1 General category any more at HP website so sent the copy of old HO Self Assessment Summary.

Anyone with such case?

How long does it take for HO to come back after sending them docs in Original?

I was in so much tension. Relieve now. Hope all March applicants get their approval soon.

Ceremony on 28/10/2015

I have got my approval and ceremony letters together. So nice don't even need to book.

Hi there, i suggest that you should follow it up or call HO. I applied the same day as yours and i got approval since August and i had my BC passport already. so call them and inform your Mp.

Looks like we are the forgotten lot... Tried calling HO but they say it is still within their standard timeline.. They count 6 months from the date on the ack letter.

My husband needs to apply before Novermber 5th rule changes. Not sure what method will be the quickest to receive Citizenship.

Why is it that people are waiting 6 months? Is that standard for postal applications?

Is the NCS service quicker? If so how much does it charge and do we need to book an appointment?

Only ukvi can clarify this...there is no set pattern use to conclude application ...not sure if there is any other way to apply rather than " postal application" for naturalisation

it doesnt make any difference from at least my experience as i applied through ncs and according to my understanding mine was quite straight forward

Yes u have to make appointment with ncs. Try to call them a month before ur qualifying time some time they can be busy too, ncs fee varies for different council, u have to pay them over phone.

Slight update guys , rang Mp office today and spoke to sectary, given my case id and address . Insha Allah expecting call back soon(forgot to as how long does it normally take for them to get an answer )... Fingers cross .. Lets hope we all get good news soon...

Finally, exactly 6 months later, I received the brown envelope with my approval today, dated 28th of September. I applied on the 31st of March. They are finally moving! Now waiting for the invitation to the ceremony letter, they said it'll take up to 2 weeks.
