Just wondered if anyone could confirm if Belgian child born in the UK to unsettled parents (neither are british) could the child apply for registration after 5 years. The child in question is actually 6 and a half now. Could the child have obtained settled status / PR in its own right by living here continuously and going to school?

It would depend on the parent status not the child. Once the parent obtain PR status (5 continuous years of treaty rights), the UK born child can register using form MN1.
