Hello,

I will be applying to be naturalised as a British citizen. I'll be going to University to study a degree taught in English, I have GCSE English C, Adult Literacy Level 2 and Functional Skills English Level 2 qualifications. Would any of these suffice as proof and be equivalent to the levels of English provided by the Home Office? Or is it a must that you do one of their approved tests? Because I think it would be a waste of time and money doing one since I'm already proficient in English and with all of my qualifications being attained in England.

You will need to do the English B1 test if you have not yet got your degree certificate.
