MN1 - March 2015 Form

Hi folks,
Sorry if this is really basic, but I'm filling in my MN1 form March 2015 version, and I don't see any section asking for any parents' BRP card etc. Please correct my understanding (I am registering my child aged 5, born in UK, before my ILR).

Section 1 -
Chose BNA Sec 1(3), filled in details pertaining to name, DOB, address, details of dad and mum, address, nationality, ILR dates etc.

Section 2 -
Ignored first question about first entry as child born in UK, filled in previous addresses, absences.

Section 3 -
Ignored the whole section as per guidance - apparently this is only for BNA Section 3(2) or 3(5).

Section 4 -
Ignored the whole section as per guidance - child less than 10 years.

Section 5 -
One referee from school and other is a family friend. (There is no reference of how long they need to know the child, so I am assuming it has no significance).

Section 6 -
Provided BRP card and other details.

Section 7 -
Both parents signed consent.

Section 8 -
Ticked and signed.

Documents to be sent -
Fee - OK
Evidence of Identity - Birth Certificate, Passport OK
Parents' marriage certificate - OK

Am I missing something? Thanks guys, and sorry for the length of the post.

See children section in link below

http://www.immigrationboards.com/britis ... l#p592355w.

You need to send ILR parent passport and BRP copies. I would suggest using NCS to apply.

I'm also about to register my UK born children under section1(3) and notice that the required information has reduced! :D I'll be using the NCS service so will have my passport and BRP card too.

Try to use NCS, that way you'll be sure of what is needed.

CR001, thanks. I noted the points in the FAQ, but there is nothing in the official form where it requests parents' BRP.

I will apply via NCS, but my understanding was the form would ask for it somewhere - at least in the list of documents! :O

NCS is a good idea and take your documents eith. It is better to be prepared in my opinion.

Hello Folks,

I have same situation as above. Myself and my wife both got ILR just couple of weeks back. Can I just send my Wife's BRP ILR card and keep myself with me due to some new jobs interviews? or it has to be father's original card?

I would appreciate your advise.

Many Thanks

I applied under Section 1(3) for my kid and I did only send a photocopy of mine and my partner's BRP.
No original BRP was sent.
My application was approved. No issues.

Hi cfdman,
I am also applying for my UK born kid for naturalisation using MN1 form after our ILR. As you said you didn't send original BRP and photocopies were accepted. Did I need to attest the photocopies from solicitor and also send the photocopies of our passport or only BRP copies or fine ?
Please advice me.
Thank you in advance

Vicky
