form an question about child under 16s

Hi,
Both parents and a kid (under 5 years old born in the uk) got PR and now just want apply BC for the child only. Is it acceptable and also could the kid exempt from knowledge of languages requirement?

When parents and kids got ILR?

off course children are exempt from language requirements :)

Ohh sorry forgot to mention parent & kid got PR at the same time a while ago

You can apply for child only through Form MN1. The child is born in UK and parents settled, so registration is an entitlement for child instead of a discretion.

Thanks for the update. Can the parents submit the MN1 form for the child only for the application and the parents just do not want to apply BC at the moment. Is such an application valid?

Yes. We did this ourselves with our oldest child who we registered 3-4 months before we ourselves applied for naturalization.
