Hi All,

I had my ILR approved yesterday and have a few questions about naturalisation.

1.) I'm married to a British citizen. Is it true that I can apply for naturalisation immediately instead of waiting for 1 year?

2.) If the answer to question 1 is yes, will I have to submit my ILR biometric card with my application?

3.) How long does the application take these days? I read that it could take up to six months? Is there any chance that it won't take as long as I'm planning to go on holiday in the summer?

I forgot to mention that my ILR was based on Tier 2 (General) route

1. Yes

2. You can apply through NSC who would copy your document and give you back the original.

3. This won't matter if you use NSC as you would have your document and will be able to travel.
