My un married partner & I have indefinite leave to remain (ILR) & we can apply for citizenship now. I applied for ILR as her partner. Our relationship has broken down so could I apply for citizenship in my own right?

From your post I gather you obtained ILR under spouse route.

Are you divorced yet or is just the relationship broken down.

Normally, if you are still married you can apply for citizenship after 3 years residence in the UK.

Even if you have divorced, you can still apply for citizenship but only after 5 years Of residence.

Shellybelly69 mentions an unmarried partnership. This suggests qualification after 5 years of legal residence which should include a period of 12 months after being granted ILR
