I am a Filipino wife of a British National with a 1 year old legitimate son, which is automaticaly treated as British Citizen. We applied british passport 8 months ago and until now their reply is being validated in the UK and Overseas, seems like no progress at all, 8 months of waiting is too much delayed.

We are seeking for another way for my son to travel with us because we have been stucked here in the Philippines by waiting for our son's passport. Business and house were left unattended and some bills to be paid in UK.

Can we apply for an Emergency Travel Document for our son?

Your advice will help us a lot.

Thank you

Apply for a Certificate of entitlement to show the child has the right of abode in the UK. That's usually faster.
