Hi,
I am a EEA national living in UK for last 2 years. Down the line after 5 years I would be looking to apply for PR/British Passport. I am wondering what doucuments I should keep (or start collecting) which HO required ?
Also do I need to apply for PR before applying for naturalization ?

Thanks & Regards

Yes, you need PR although this is attained automatically after 5 years of exercising treaty rights and then wait one year on PR. It will be easier for you to have the PR card when you apply for citizenship.

You need all uncancelled passports, LIUK test and English Level B1 test. I am sure this is a requirement for some evidence of treaty rights.

Are you studying or working?

You have to apply for naturalisation first and have you citizenship granted before applying for UK passport which you can do after 6 years of exercising EU treaty rights.

Thanks for your reply.

I am working as Freelancer here. having company directorship & filing UK returns. Also have Council tax statement & utility bills.

Would that be enough ?
