Travel Advice - Canadian Passport and British Registration

My wife and I both hold Valid ILR. My son was born here and is in the process of being registered as a citizen via MN1. He holds a Canadian Passport and hopefully soon a Registration of British Citizen document. The waiting time is a bit long at present.

We are trying to determine if it is safe to go home to Canada for a vacation and return to the UK. Can't seem to find any advice on whether we will have issue in returning. We were optomistic we would have enough time to file for our Son's british passport, but that doesn't seem plausible given how long registration is taking.

Does anyone have experience returning to the UK when Adults Hold ILR, and child (children) hold Canadian Passport and Registration certificate?

Any advice is appreciated.

Here's a similar case:

However once you have registered your child it shouldn't take too long for a routine passport application to be processed.
My daughter's 1st passport took just 18 days to be processed & delivered.
