Hi,

We took a photo for our son ...we tried for one complete week and could not get a photo with eyes open.
So we want to go ahead with the picturer of closed eyes. which we use for MN1.

should we need to submit the same photo for British passport or can we do other ?

Regards
Nikki

I think upto 6 years old, as long as the photo background grayish white (20% gray), full face visible, no one else on the photo including hands, then it should be fine. Also the baby's hand should not be on the face.

A tip would be to hold the head underneath the towel, but the background needs to be straight without folds.

My son's photo, was taken when he was sleeping.

Thanks Nazer.

So we should use the same picture for passport that we used for MN1 ? or can we use different one ?

Cheers

That is completely up to you. I took a fresh photo every time, i.e. first dependant visa and ILR had 2.5 years gap so definitely, then MN1 and Passport had only two month gap, but took fresh photos every time. Same with wife's photos. Personally I think freshest is the best in case of Passport, since that is for 5-10 years depending upon age at the time of application.
