Hi guys
My son is 11 years old, he was born in Wales and has a Welsh birth certificate. Myself and his father are not British Citizenships yet; can we use the MN1 to apply for him?
Also I wanted to know; do we have to use the MN1 form ? Can't we just apply for a British passport straight away ?
Thanks for your help !

Do you and his father have indefinite leave to remain? If yes, when did you receive ILR?

Yes we do and we received it 7 years ago.

Yes, you can apply for your UK born child on MN1 under section 1(3) of the nationality act. I would suggest using NCS at your council as they will check the form and photocopy your documents and return the originals to you.
