renewing passport after submitting citizenship app

Hi all,
Was hoping someone on this board may be able to shed some light.
Ive submitted an application for naturalisation as a british citizen. I have received a letter stating that I need to submit my biometrics within 15 working days. I have also found out that i need to go overseas in mid-august for approximately 6 weeks - but possibly longer. My passport expires in November, and I want to be sure it doesn't expire in the unlikely event that I get stuck overseas. My question is: If I submit my biometrics and then renew my passport, will this be a problem? Is it regarded as a change of personal details and will they just ask me to resubmit biometrics again? Would it be better to just pay for the express passport renewal, then submit my biometrics?
Many thanks.
