Hi,

Please can any senior can confirm when me and my wife are eligible to apply for British citizenship by naturalisation ? Can we apply on 29 August 2015 OR we have to wait till 21 September 2015 ?

Myself

Tier1 granted for 3 years : 21st September 2009 - 21 September 2012
Tier1 extension for 2 years : 02 August 2012 to 21 September 2014
Indefinite leave to remain granted : 28th August 2014

My wife

Tier1 - dependent granted for 3 years : 11 January 2010 - 21 September 2012
Tier1 - dependent extension for 2 years : 02 August 2012 to 21 September 2014
Indefinite leave to remain granted : 28th August 2014

You can apply on completion of 12 months in ILR.

So it would be 29 August 2015, also please read here about other requirements and make sure you were physically present in UK fives years from the date of application. Good luck.

I have booked my NCS - Manchester appointment for next month and I would like to clear couple of points here

1. English Language Requirement - My wife holds her IELTS certificate dated 2005 (2yrs validity) with 6.5 band (equivalent to B2 LEVEL) which obtained for student visa in order to qualify entry clearance when she first entered in the UK and later we got married in 2008, since she holds her dependent visa – just to let you know that her expired IELTS certificate was ACCEPTED for Indefinite leave to remain which was granted last year. Is it still be acceptable for Naturalisation ?


2. Biometrics – We already had Biometrics last year for ILR - in person , also we had Biometrics during our Tire1 extension - Do we still expecting Biometrics letter for Naturalisation ?
