That's odd. Didn't her mother celebrate her birthdays? Can she find out?

Here mother has passed.
Celebration of birthday is a new concept.

In older generation, parents do not celebrate or not know exact birthday .

It's probably a cultural thing; for example, even nowadays in the Philippines birthdays (& wedding anniversaries) are not a big deal, especially in the country areas.

It may also be an administrative & practical thing - registration of births/deaths etc may be haphazard, manual & error-prone.
A child's birth may only get registered several years after birth (if at all).
And documents do not last long in a tropical environment in a house with no air-conditioning.

If I were you, I would give an approximate date... may be some one in the family might know the approximate month and Year of her birth
Or her dad might know how much younger his wife was they got married
Or Just Make up something

I don't think they will try to find out her exact date of birth...
