Assistance Needed in Completing my AN Form

Hi everyone,

I would be very grateful if anyone could assist / clarify some points on my application form, please.

I am an EEA national and I am submitting my application through NCS for naturalisation after 6yrs of residence in UK. I came to UK in 2007 and I have been separated from my ex (also an EEA national) for almost six years. I got my Worker Registration Scheme (WRS) certificate in April 2009 because I was not aware of its existence before then. I have passed my B1 CERF and my Life in UK exams.

My questions for some points are:
1.1 Please give previous Immigration and Nationality Directorate or Border and Immigration Agency or UK Border Agency, or Home Office reference numbers

Q: The only contact I had with Home Office was when I applied for the WRS. Should I quote the reference number on the certificate or leave it blank?

1.15 Current marital status (Please tick one box only)

Q: I assume that I should tick the married/civil partner box. My friend said he would rather tick single/never married box because I have been separated for almost 6 years (although not legally, rather not leaving together anymore due to break down of relationship). Which box please should I tick?

1.27 - 1.29: Father's details
Q: Do I need to provide my father's details because he is deceased for almost 25 years now?

1.30 Your father’s date of birth:
Q:I don't know and no-one in my family knows his date of birth. Should I leave it blank

1.35 - 1.40: Details of partner

Q: Do I need to provide my ex-wife details even though we are no longer together and we are not making joint application?

Appreciate any replies ! thanks

Simply reply with what you have & what you know.

1.1 Give any HO ref if you have one on some letter or document.

1.15 Married - if you are still legally married

1.27 - 1.29 Yes give all known details.
If you wish to clarify, you can comment in 'further information' section that father is deceased.

1.30 Not known - if unknown.
If you wish to clarify, you can comment in 'further information' section with an approximate date if you have one.

1.35 - 1.40 Yes give all details.
If you wish to clarify, you can comment in 'further information' section that you have separated & live apart from wife.

Note if you were late registering for WRS you probably need to check if all is in order so that your working status in UK will be recognised as contributing towards acquiring PR.

Good luck.
