Dear folks,

My daughter got the ILR while she was here in UK.She arrived in UK as Tier 1 Dependent and then I applied for ILR after getting my ILR.I am now British Citizen and got British passport.
My daughter was born in Pakistan.

Her details are as below:

ILR Date of Issue : 07-02-2013

Valid Untill 13-12-2017

After getting ILR she stayed in UK until 05-JAN-2014..Then she left for Pakistan and still living there.
Now She is coming back before her 2 years period is over outside of UK on ILR.

My question is once she will be back (lets say next month),How can i apply British passport for her.

what will the requirements ? Can i apply while she is in Pakistan or she needs to be in UK ?

Please advise...Thanks

Assuming your daughter is a minor, as she was born abroad she will need to be registered as a UK citizen before she can apply for a British passport.
This is done at Home Secretary's discretion.

Do you have sole custody or responsibility (I.e. by the passing away of the other parent or by court order) of your daughter?

Typically, the status of the child is related to the status of the parent with the most restrictive visa. Is the other parent of your daughter still married to you and if so, what is their status? If they are not ILR and on the path to citizenship themselves, it is highly unlikely that a registration at discretion would succeed, especially if she has just spent two years abroad.

You have asked this question before. The answer hasn't changed.
