when i can apply for British Citizenship

my friend he come to the uk 2000 he was asylum seekers till 2009 he got married to British Citizen but they told him he need to go back to his home century so he back to his home century and apply for spouse visa and in 2011 he got granted 2 years spouse visa and return to the uk
in 2013 after 2 years he got granted ILR and now he have the ILR but he Split Up with his partner they are no longer together
when he can apply for British Citizenship and what the right form?

(assuming all other requirements are met, including KOLL, good character, absences within limits, sound mind & etc).
Form AN.
I'd like to have seen that:
they told him he need to go back to his home century

Any period of overstay or no legal status counts against you in the form of a ban on applying for citizenship for 10 years from date of legalising your stay or leaving the UK. It is a refusal of citizenship and loss of fee.
