Separate NCS/Direct applications same family

I would be grateful for a prompt response.
I want to apply for naturalisation for myself, wife and 3 children, before the rules change on 5 Nov 15. We all have ILR, 6.5 years residence including +12 months after ILR. We intend to submit only my wife's application via NCS since she needs to travel and the other 4 direct by post to HO, mainly because I am stretched on resources.
Is there anything against separating these applications apart from the advantages of NCS?
