when to apply for AN1

Hi,
I have a question regarding AN1 form. I am going to apply for my BC through AN1 on 02 Feb 2016 but my last date with my existing employer would be 29th Jan 2016 and I am going to start on 08 Feb 2016 with my new employer.
So my question is on the AN1 form what should I write for “Details of your employment” section ? Old employer or new employer details ? or should I wait until I have joined the new employer ?
Thanks
Param

Employment is not a requirement for citizenship.
You can state start/end dates and provide details of your new employer in the 'additional information' page, or apply once you have actually started your new job if you want to keep things really simple.
Bear in mind that the form is likely to change so make sure when you apply that you have completed the correct version.

I work in Poole/Bournemouth area but I will give my permanent address of Leeds for the application. Now the question is when they send the bio-metic letter can I do biometic in the nearest post office to Poole/Bournemouth or do I need to use the post office near to Leeds only ?
Thanks

You can use any Post Office that offers the service to enroll biometrics.

Thanks CR001.
One more query.I will be applying for my British Nationality Feb next year and my wife after that (around June). Now our second child is due in feb 2016 & no immediate plan to apply for baby's passport.Assuming we both get passport end of september when will be good time to apply for his/her British passport as we have no plan to travel until november 2016(as when the baby would be born we will be on ILR status)?
Let me know if the post doesn't make much sense and anyone need more clarification ?
Thanks

You can apply for the passport at any time. Summer is usually busier than other times but for children you can use the fast track service which takes a week as baby is automatically British if you have ILR when baby is born.

Hi,
I know this has been answered my time times in the forum but here is the question again.
My wife wants to change her maiden name to married name and she had her neutralization based on maiden name, so my question is what is the best option ?
Option 1:-
(Go for neutralization with maiden name and get the passport.Once I get the passport change the name via deed pool ?)
Also what will happen to her Indian passport and BRP which have maiden name ?
Thanks

She should change it AFTER she gets her British Passport.

The BRP is no longer valid if she is British. You can return it to the BRP team and ask them to destroy it or keep it as a memory of the journey. Indian passport has to be surrendered. Suggest you do this process once you have British passport in maiden name (before changing by deed poll).

Thanks CR001 but what will happen when I have to apply for her OCI card (as Indian authority will have her maiden name) and British passport will have married name ? Do I need to apply OCI card using a deed poll ?
Thanks

Sorry just be clear let me list the steps:-
1. Get the British passport in maiden name.
2. Surrender the Indian Passport which is on maiden name.
3. Change the name on British passport using deed poll to married name.
4. Apply for OCI using the deed poll and get the OCI in married name.
is that right ?

Yes. You will have the deed poll and marriage certificate so it should be fine.

OK thanks.
But her naturalisation certificate will have her maiden name and passport will have married name so do I need to change her naturalisation certificate to reflect the married name or shall I just leave it (which will show her maiden name) ?
Thanks

No

Yes. HO does understand people get married and change their names but there is no requirement to change her naturalisation certificate. When she applies for the deed poll and then her second British passport, her records will be updated.
If she wanted her married name, she should have changed everything BEFORE applying for naturalisation.

You mean I should change her name on Indian PP now to married name before applying for naturalisation?

You wrote :

As your post indicated that she had already naturalised, I was basing my advice on this.
Please clarify the situation. To change all her documents now will delay her citizenship application as a replacement BRP can take a few months.

Sorry she has got ILR (Jan 2015) not neutralization.

There are two ways you can do this :
First Option
1. Apply for naturalisation in maiden name
2. Once approved, apply for British Passport in maiden name
3. Once you have the passport, apply for a change of name by deed poll.
4. Re-apply for a new British passport with the deed poll and married name
This thread will be helpful in understanding the process as HMPO have become more strict now, see
Passport Refused - Uncancelled foreign passport in maiden name (click)
Second Option
1. Apply for new Indian passport and a new BRP (takes a couple of months)
2. Change all details with banks, employer etc and then apply for naturalisaton in married name
3. Apply for British passport as naturalisation certificate will state married name.

Oh my I hope you are not being serious about being neutralised.
Yes please supply SA302 for those years, it will make your process much smoother. Ring up HMRC and they will post them to you within 2 weeks. I personally did not include any P60 but you may wish to ask the NCS consultant if its necessary now given that HO is getting quite strict with the latest rule changes. If you also have a latest self assessment statement of account from HMRC, bring that along too. That way theres no ambiguity about satisfying the contract/self empployed/limited company criteria.
